This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing modules.
You can drag and and drop to rearrange.
You can edit modules to customize them.
The left side has modules you can add!
Some modules you can only access when you get a subscription.
Some modules have options that are only available when you get a subscription.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain modules can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
As some of you may know, my brother's book is going to be published in 2010 by Scholastic (it's an adventure novel for kids around age 10) and the other day my brother met with his publishers to talk about everything under the sun related to the novel. Now most first time authors don't get to choose who illustrates the cover of their book, but my brother slipped my name into the conversation and Scholastic has allowed me to show them a few sample cover illutrations!
I'm so excited!
My artwork isn't fantastic, in fact I know it's not print worthy just yet, but boy, am I thrilled to be given this opportunity! I'm starting to draw up some ideas that my brother likes now, and they're good, I think! The colouring will be a pain, but hey - it's going to be worth it if they like my drawings and choose it for the cover!!
Whoop!
But for now, I'm going on a five day holiday to Samoa, where my brother will be reading me the final manuscipt (it's reeeaaally good for a kids novel - I'm really into it) and I'll have chance to feel some heat again (I'm hating this winter) and see the sun!!!
Hey! I just visited your "Queen Sammy" site to check out your Context Matters project. I gotta give you props on the look and feel of your whole website. Very cool. But! Two nits: I'm pretty sure the junkie is getting a cortisone injection (I could be wrong), and... ONLY JK Rowling?

"I thank you for those items that you sent me: The monkey, and the plywood violin."
Haha that's right - that's the point. If you click the images they pop up to reveal the whole context. So she is getting a cortisone injection (wow, thanks for correcting the spelling on that one!). Thanks for stopping by. What's that about JKR?

I read books about Jesus and got saved by Harry Potter
You said your favorite writer was ONLY JKR, then you give a little bit of acknowledgment to Shakespeare ("The Taming of the Shrew" is on my nightstand right now!). You can't seriously only entertain fantasies about Harry Potter can you?
